Chilli-Spiced Yorkshire Puddings recipe
These are Yorkshire puddings with a real kick of flavour for those who love spice. They’re also really quick to make with no standing needed. Try serving them with some grilled fish or a spicy curry for a completely different but tasty meal.
Ingredients:
300ml milk
125ml vegetable oil
125g self-raising flour
2 eggs
2 level tsp. chilli flakes, or use one whole finely chopped red chilli
Salt and pepper
Method of Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 220C/gas mark 7.
Pour 2 tbsp. of oil into the indents on a muffin tin and heat the tin in the oven whilst you make the batter.
Whisk the flour with the eggs, chilli and salt and pepper. Once a smooth paste has formed, gradually whisk in the milk until you have a smooth batter.
Take the tray from the oven and pour the batter into each of the moulds.
Immediately return the tin to the oven and cook the Yorkshire puddings for around twenty minutes until golden brown.
Serve hot from the oven.
